# Terms of Use

These terms apply to meyron.co ("Meyron", "we", "us"), operated by its founder. By using the site you agree to them.

## What Meyron is

Meyron is an educational reference. It summarises published cancer-research information from sources such as the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF), Cancer Research UK, the U.S. National Cancer Institute and others. Pages link to the sources they draw on.

## What Meyron is not

- **Not medical advice.** Nothing here replaces advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
- **Not a diagnostic tool, and not a personal risk calculator.** We do not tell you what your risk is.
- **Not treatment guidance.** We do not tell you how to treat or prevent any condition.
- **Not a product rating service.** We do not tell you to buy, avoid or use any product or brand.

Do not make personal health decisions based only on what you read here. Talk to a clinician about your own situation.

## How to read the content

IARC classifications describe the **strength of evidence** that something can cause cancer under some conditions. They do not describe how large the risk is, and they say nothing about a particular product, brand or your own exposure. Where a product category is listed next to a substance, it means the substance has been documented in that category through regulatory testing, recalls or scientific review, not that ordinary use of any specific product causes cancer.

## Accuracy, sources and corrections

We work to summarise sources accurately, but:

- The science changes. IARC and other bodies revise classifications as evidence develops.
- Our summaries are simplifications. The original source is always more detailed, and where the two differ, the source governs.
- Errors can happen. If you spot one, please tell us.

**Corrections.** If you believe something on Meyron is wrong, or you are a manufacturer or other organisation and believe a statement about you or your products is inaccurate, email **corrections@meyron.co** with the page address and the source you rely on. We aim to review reports within 10 business days and will correct or remove anything we cannot support.

## No warranty and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. To the fullest extent the law allows, Meyron and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

## Third-party sources and links

Meyron links to external sites, including consumer-information resources. We do not control them, do not endorse them, and are not responsible for their content or ratings. A link is for context only.

## Trademarks and no affiliation

"Meyron" is our brand. Names such as IARC, WHO, WCRF, Cancer Research UK, NCI and others belong to their owners. We are **not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by** any of them. We do not use their logos. Citing a source does not imply that the source reviewed or approves Meyron's summaries.

## Copyright and use of source material

Meyron's original text, structure and design are copyright Meyron. Underlying source material belongs to its publishers. IARC materials are copyrighted; we cite IARC as the source of classifications, link to the original, and use them for non-commercial educational purposes.

You may quote short extracts from Meyron with a link back. Do not copy substantial parts of the site or database without permission.

## Acceptable use

Do not scrape the site at a rate that harms it, misrepresent Meyron's content as medical advice or as endorsed by IARC, WHO or any other body, or use it unlawfully.

## Changes

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date will change, and continued use means you accept the update.
